Pointless post really but Indy my fifteen yo cat has not been home since Sat pm .
I saw her in the garden she did not come in as she saw mums lurcher , it's raining she never stays away in the rain .
I fear something's happened to her she usually comes if I call as soon as mum goes .
Just off to look again .

Its so horrible when they go missing, maybe she took shelter somewhere and has been shut in! I would ask neighbours to check sheds etc and perhaps put some notices up. I hope you find her soon!

I have her !!!
I went all over in the rain looking and calling came home feeling despondent was sitting in house having a cup of tea and I thought I heard her calling so rushed to the kitchen door expecting to see her by the flap ( she prefers you to open the door rather than use the flap) no cat thought I was going mad then I heard her again very faintly and I thought I was mad by them .
I just heard it again and wait for it she was hiding in a wing of rooms where my OH has his office ( he's abroad ) she must have snuck in there through my bedroom having come in the window and gone in there because the dogs don't go there I remember shutting the door very early on Sunday morning I looked in there this morning but the first room is full of boxes if she was sleeping I could have missed her .
So relieved had a cuddle and a few tears she had a good purr checked for the lurcher and headed off to tuck into a pouch.
We have wooden latches on the doors she's was a dab hand at opening them when she was younger I did not realise she still could .
Panic over feel silly now.

Don t feel silly! My husband is a big burly trucker....he pulled over in nearly layby for two days when our midge went walkabout!
Another usefull thing to remember in future is that local catteries tend to know about all things cat going on in their area..anyone with missing cats its a good idea to pop in and ask!

Oh so glad you've found Puss. Naughty girl for scaring you like that.

We had a tom cat a few years back, and once he went off and disappeared completely; we'd recently had a new dual carriageway opened up near us and we were convinced he'd met the same fate as a lot of other poor local animals who'd previously roamed in space and tranquility, then one day the thing opened and suddenly there was traffic all over the place :(

Then....... one day, we heard a distinctive meeeaaaawwww - and His Lordship came traipsing in, tail up, looking for food. This was THREE YEARS after he'd disappeared. He was fat, sleek, and obviously well cared for. We never did find out who looked after him, no doubt someone was absolutely heartbroken that "their" pussycat that they'd harboured (thinking it was a stray possibly) was gone.
