I have recently put my horse out on loan as a 'companion' but stupidly didn't draft up a loan agreement...
The woman who took him has failed to stay in touch - she has sent one email and called once but that's it. I have reported her and her details (probably fake) and my horse as missing to the police, Petlog ID, Farmkey and the Essex Horse Watch. My horse is currently on www.essexhorsewatch.org.uk under missing / stolen horses - Sienna.
My idiotic actions have left me wondering if I will ever see my beloved boy again. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation??

If it is missing believed Stolen it should be added to Stolen Horse Register if you have filled in Q Form which you should have had from Farmkey/Essex Horsewatch
Contact http://missinghorsesonloan.co.uk/ they are really helpful and will do poster for you
There are lots of people in your situation.
Please put up more specific details about your horse and picture please or link to eg Photobucket for pictures and area of country.
Lots of helpful people on here who will move details to other Forums to spread the word

I have PM'd you Taylorscat, thanks Cuffey for mentioning us

we offer a free service to help you trace your horse.

You know if horse passports were checked more often by vets, yo and spot checks by police. And if all pio's were obliged to notify police of new passport applications for adult horses I am sure many stolen horses would be found.

Thank you all for responding!
Siena was in Cheshire but lady took him to Romford Essex supposedly. He is on Essex Horse Watch as missing on loan.

Cuffey, I will send details and have saved your website to my faves, thank you!

I need to get him back - I am so so worried about him - it's not normal this woman's behaviour. The thought of him being slaughtered is just incomprehesible!

I am such an idiot!!!!!

She could well have been a dealer and your horse has now been sold. The "companion" trick is an old one unfortunately. Sadly, many of the poor horses have been put out as companions because of medical problems.

Who said he was taken to Essex? Seems a bit of a long way to go from Cheshire with your own animal, let alone one on loan. Where did he go in Cheshire?

Please please please PM me the details of the lady to took your horse, what she looked like and name. the romford essex part killed it for me.

please PM me
