5 year old bay mare called Milly has gone missing / taken from Desborough Road, Stoke Albany, Market Harborough, horses checked 9am 1/1/ 2011 but horse not in the field 3pm that day.
Description- ...5 year old bay mare. 15.2hh hunter clipped, 2 white circles on near front knee, 6" scar upper front off side leg, microchipped and wearing red/white Masta full neck rug.

Probably not linked but have you seen the other post about horses found Northants. Google maps say it's only about 5 miles away. Dates don't exactly match though. May be worth a look.

Think I know what you mean--were ponies out because of attempted theft?
Suspect we will never know

a 2yo filly was found in croft (leics) a week later with it's back legs tied together. Leics police have the details. Croft is approx 15/20 miles from stoke albany.

I don't know if the ponies and the stolen mare were connected, seems very coincidental as it's very close (next town). About 5 miles away.

I think everyone in the area should be extra vigilant.

I received a text from the police, apparently no news on missing mare.

Fingers crossed for a safe return.
