Please take a moment to look at his short video, and spread the word. Poor Harvey has been missing since December, and it is highly likely someone has taken him in, or perhaps he's been handed in to a rescue centre, and they don't recognise the breed? Please, please, cross post this on any other forums you may belong to.

I take it he has been listed on DogLost? http://www.doglost.co.uk/

Owners also need to do regular searches on there, but check all breeds even with a passing similarity, not just nova scotica duck toller. He could end up listed as anything.........cross breed/collie/retriever/etc.... I once found a foxhound on there listed as a standard poodle!!:eek: Happily she was safely reunited with her pack in the end. :)
 
Other end of country, but just to bump it up and to say how I feel for you. You must be absoloutely heartbroken. He looks a beautiful dog.

Rescue centres are sometimes a bit desperate in their breed identifications, as other post said. Our rescue trailhound was listed as a pointer. Your boy would probably be described as a golden retriever cross?

PLEASE let us all know if you find him.
 
Thank you all for sharing and caring. I will be absolutely thrilled to be able to let you know as and when he is safely home...when you don't know what has happened, your imagination can work overtime. Now the weather is turning colder too, it doesn't help.
