Ok, so you remember the 2 seperate ODEs on the same day.. and you remember the Blackdown Hills/Osberton (200+ miles apart) effort, that never actually happened in the end (thank god)...

Mission impossible no. 3... 3day event in Holland, friends wedding in England on the Fri.. am thinking ask for a Thurs dressage, fly home Fri, morning go to wedding, fly back very early Sat morning asking for a late xc time on the Sat... hmmm

Do you perform well under pressure?

Sounds like a good plan, you better hope your flight doesn't get delayed if you do go ahead with it though

Perfectly do-able provided the secretary of horse trials will accomodate and you have a nice groom to stay with neddie!

Forgot to add.. that there's another rider at the same event (all be it in a different class) who is also trying to get back to the same wedding!! so i wouldn't be traveling alone (although the other person is the brother of the bride, and loaded)...

Down side to all this.. i'm probably too lazy to sort it all out, and i've no money, will have even less after all that!!

If i do do this, S-J i may well be calling on your help

as for performing under pressure, i haven't even qualified for said event yet, and i've just sent off and payed for my entry, with two more events to do before i qualify... i do indeed perform better under pressure..

Well, I don't think you should go for the sat morning flight. Your friend will be grateful that you made it to the ceremony, DO NOT STAY FOR THE PARTY THAT WILL INVOLVE OLDIES SHUFFLING AROUND TO PHIL COLLINS. Get on a flight Friday evening. Can you fly to exeter/bristol? If neither's possible don't do it at all. Whilst BE sec's may be accomadating with times FEI is a bit different, it WILL be done by draw.

Will help no problem.

Actually just had a great idea you go to the wedding and I'll ride Ernie! No?

hehe well seeing as you're qualified to ride him, and i'm not, not such a bad idea.. but ummm no, i'll keep trying haha..

Would fly into Heathrow, as wedding is up there (so wouldn't actually come home)... have spoken to other rider, and they say they are flying from HamsterJam to Heathrow with BA, but i've looked at BA website, and can't find flights out of HamsterJam

I was being thick, and looking under Holland and wondering why it wasn't there (ooops)

I haven't tried there, but if i do do this, i'd rather travel with the other person, and their flights are already booked!!

he's the brother of the bride, ergo it's justifiable to connections if he misses his cross-country... you on the other hand....

haha, not really, he has (like me for this event) entered and payed for his entry to Bramham although is not yet qualified, so therefore this event is his last chance to qualify!! therefore needs the qualification just as much as i do!!

ETS.. there's also a CCI* running out there, and they do their XC before the CCI**.. flight lands at 8:50.. so could be back at event (all going well) by 10:00 ish.. what time would the CCI* start on xc do you think?

makes me laugh u say u have no money yet u are going to holland to do a ** if u really needed to go to the wedding then why not go to one of the perfectly good ** in this country sounds to me like ur just after some attention cos ur goin abroad and feeling important!!
