Well......My human rudely dragged my out of my field early this afternoon and got my tarted up to go to some party (something about a 65cm class at Milton Keynes EC). The lorry came down and I skipped up the ramp. All I can say is that the human truely excelled herself today......What an IDIOT, the show jumping is next Tuesday
Sooooo, we got on the road again and the fool made loads of calls to various EC's and eventually found that Solihull RC hdchear round on so off we went at lightning speed! (well, 56mph max
).
We arrived there and I was informed that the smallest class was 2'9"/88cms, at this point I expected her to say 'oh hell no!!!!!!!', start the lorry and go home again! But no, she had guts today! She tacked me up, hopped on and off we went to the warm up.
Now, I've never jumped in a covered/indoor before, never jumped away from homs/have only had about 3 proper jumping sessions/I've never really seen fillers/jumped courses etc so please bear that in mind
We went into the warm up and there were about 3 others warming up, now I don't DO riding with others...I can find it a bit scary but I was a star, I didn't have a single wobbly moment
We jumped some practice fences and then went in. It was all a bit daunting to start with but I quickly settled and we got down to jumping. Arrapantly I was a little super star! I went in and jumped fab round and I didn't touch a pole
so we got a pretty blue rosette and lots of pats on the way out! I was knackered after all of that (I'm not the fittest you see
) but we went in and jumped another round once I'd got my breath back and again, I was told I was fantastic but the human let me bowl on a bit too much between 3 and 4 and I got in a bit deep to 4 and rolled the top pole
All in all I think I did really well
and I was grateful to be put back in my stable at the end of it all, I'm knackered! But human was so pleased with me she let me play on the internet for a bit
Here are a couple of pictures, the rest will be in the PG
