When you haven't heard things right!!
My OH told me that Wariel was the name of a hound, and he was always out!!
(Ware heel - hounds are hunting a heel line)
Friend of mine, new to hunting last season had 2 classics.
When she heard 'Whip on the left' she thought it meant everyone had to put their whip on the left and vice versa (have dined out on that ever since, luckily shes a good friend and very forgiving)
Same friend saw a fox one day - out hacking actually -and said 'My G*d, hasn't that got the most enormous bush!!!'
:D :D :D

When it was legal to hunt foxes!! Means they are going the wrong way on the scent. In other words hunting it backwards!!

Oh the first time I took my cousin out hunting the secretary came over and said do you have your cap please sir, my cousin smiled politely and nodded pointing to his hat and said yes thanks!!! so funny. . .

my friend, new to the hunting scene, came out the other day, and when hearing the message "ware hole", she turned to me and asked, "what animal makes a warehole? a badger?". Was alot of sniggering from me, untill i had caught my breath long enough to explain :)

Was going to take one of my friends horses cubbing a few years back, so her youngster had company. She told me they met at 4 O'Clock so to be at yard for 3. Thought this was a bit early as would still be dark (but didn't question it). Got to her yard bright and early to find it in darkness, started to feed, then her husband came out thinking they had burgulars!!!! Seems their hunt cubbed in the afternoon (16:00hrs) sometimes!!!! - They have dined out on this for years. LOL
