How many spot on treatments do you give a horse? - AND does it work systemically as it works on cats etc? It would be a great way to get rid of Ted's mites as I can't get the front line through his feathers.

I don't use spot on, use the spray. I find the 500 ml spray which you can get on the net for £34 does two hairy boys two treatments with a bit left over for the top of the tail if they are itchy there does the trick.

Easiest way to do it is to wash the legs and whilst they are still damp, part the feather and spray the skin in lots of places then rub the leg well to distribute the spray then repeat in two weeks time and in my experience that cleared them.

Then onto good old pig oil and sulphur to stop them coming back.

Another good site that does the spray
