Don't know the exact figure sorry but it is pretty heavy on fuel, no way would I use mine to drive to work and back etc. I catch the tube to work so luckily only drive to station and back and that is only 3 miles away and still cost be about £20 a week in fuel and I don't drive anywhere else (towing aside).
i am getting 18 miles to the gallon if i am lucky. had to swop my nice car for this so we could tow a trailer. i have to drive to yard and work as both are rural in villages no buses or trains. i thought it might be cheaper at mo to get limos
I have a 2.8 LWB & I think I get around 23-24 per gallon with normal driving but less when towing. Obviously depends how you drive & what type of conditions you drive in. They are however a marvelous towing vehicle.
I had one (a 2.5 TD though) and mine did average 25 - 30 miles to the gallon but wasn't that much worse towing.
It towed like a dream and was very, very easy and safe to drive.
that is the problem i bought it because it was one of the best for towing. i love to drive it as well as it is comfy and has all the extras BUT £550 + per month on diesel is madness
Ours has just been sold for this exact reason!! Can't have been getting more than 18mpg out of it, was costing a fortune to run. Saving a fortune on fuel (and insurance - ours was a pajero!) and we have replaced it with a 7.5t lorry and a 2 litre petrol goll convertible!!
