Anyone got one and towed with it?

Was going to get a horsebox next year but figure it makes more sense to have a 4x4 and a trailer.....

Just wondered what the running costs where like and whether it tows easily x

I think there gorgeous looking cars really tasty lol but couple of the farriers i know have had them and they said there not that good at sticking to the road, dont have a clue how well it will tow but keeping that in mind possibly not that good skidddin bout with a trailer on the back

but they are very pretty lol.

My next-door neighbour has just got one and uses it for towing. He doesn't tow many horses, more likely to be trailerloads of sheep or cattle, or his digger on a flat-bed. The car copes well with that, even off road. I can't tell you much about running costs though.

It's a very nice car, although his is black and with the canopy on the back it looks a bit like a hearse!

Gorgeous cars! It's a toss up between a Warrior and Audi A3 when I get my new car (later this year hopefully!)!
I work for a car sales company and was asking my boss about the Warrior he was driving - his brother has horses and he'd used a Warrior to tow the trailer when he took the horses on holiday.
My boss said it'd pull a mountain down!

Correct-o-mundo!
I don't like the bog standard L200's - would have to be a Warrior for me to have one! Think they have chrome bull bars and leather interior etc.

I think perhaps I should have said 'when I get my new vehicle'!

The L200 is classed as a commercial vehicle but if you get a double cab with leather interior it's like having a car!

I have one with all the trims, bullbars etc. mine has a matching back cover for the dogs... It is brilliant
pull anything, have never had any probs when I tow my friends horse trailer
Definetly recommend them
problem once you have owned one you won't want to own anything else...

I tow with my double cab and it's fine. But the trick is to load down the back wheels, remember the suspension on them is designed to take a 1 tonne load in the bed so with the bed empty it can be a bit bouncy. I shove a couple of bales of shavings over the back or a few paving slabs. It may seem like a bit of effort but it does mean when I'm not towing a much lighter vehicle uses less fuel so there are benefits.

Oh no, sorry, didn't think you were being - just thought I'd not explained myself properly as per usual!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have one!
In wet weather if not weighed down LETHAL! sorry to be factual but my good friends father was just killed recently in one, he was not speeding excessively but the weather was bad and he lost control,

My husband who is an advanced driver and can handle things lost ours at 30mph on a round about, saying that call me stupid with it weighed down I wouldnt ahve anything else!!

Likes the fuel though expensive enough to run!

I've got a twin cab Nissan navarra - and I have no problems towing at all and this is my first ever 4x4 and trailer.

It holds the roads fine and doesn't need weighting down, and drives the same unloaded as with a large round haylage bale, or 2 horses in the trailer. I love it!

The only problem I had was doofus user error... I have a terrible habit of riding the clutch, and was terrified when the truck started swerving when I was driving straight, not windy or anything. Turns out I was not letting my clutch right out after a gear change and then accelerating and it causes a power surge in the steering.

I now drive with my foot OFF the clutch and its never done it since...

I had one until recently (split with partner and he got it, I got house - no fault of the car!) and towed a HB510 with it, great car no problems. Definitely agree with Burtie though about loading the back, it's a safety issue as much as anything and makes them safer on the road. I'd have another like a shot although I'm not 100% sure about the new design, mine was an 03 plate and I liked it better!

Son has a L200 double cab; nice to drive, good to tow with but the lousiest turning circle you could find, need lots of room else you'll be backing and shunting for all your worth. It is a bit light on the steering though in bad weather but I don't think he's ever had it stuck and he's been in some appalling places!

It's quite a bit heavier on juice than our Fourtrak which is the bee's knees for towing just not as customer comfortable as the L200!

We tow with an L200 Animal and its great, totally agree on the turning circle tho. Also ours has a covered pick up with makes visability poor esp when reversing. Other than that we love it!

Ive got a double cab warrior - absolutely love it to bits and Ive never had to "weigh it down" in the back. I tow with it and go anywhere and everywhere with it. It's a bit juicy to run and it does have the turning circle of a stretch limo, but you soon get used to it.
