I am currently both horse-less and dog-less
BUT...
I have the great pleasure to walk this little madam, whose full name is Mitzvah Kristel, Mitzy for short.
(Other nicknames include Madame Mitz, Queen Mitzy, Fuzz Ball, Blondie, Fatso, Poo factory.....
)
The story begins in Tel-Aviv, Israel around 13 years ago. Mitzy had been visiting a small corner shop in the town to beg for food, and her now owner, B, took pity, buying cans of food daily. Little did we know that she was taking this food back to the three puppies whome she was starving herself to feed.
Eventually, she was tracked and caught, and brought back to B's house. Through lots of TLC Mitzy and her pups were tamed, and the pups found good homes. However Mitzvah, this little golden mongrel, was too precious to let go!
Finally, ten years ago, Mitzy was brought to England, and went through 6 months of quarantine and was allowed to permanently set up shack in Old London Town
Two years ago, I was asked if I would like a dog to walk regularly. Of course I jumped at the chance, and here we are, in 2010, just a little blonde mutt and the girl who loves her (and occasionally dresses her up in humorous hats)
I feel so damn lucky to have found Mitz. She knows what I'm thinking, has taught me how to form that unbreakable bond with a dog, and when I drag myself to her house, through rain, sleet or heat, and I turn that key... I am greeted with this beautiful face and with her little Happy Mitzy Dance!
What more could a girl ask for?
