Evening, just asking for peoples opinions really, whether I should be as narked off as I am.

Last week, me and the pony went out to our first comp of the summer, lovely round but ended up in him being over-excited at the last fence and taking off with me, me baling into the side of the arena and being air lifted out to find I've ruptured ligaments in my pelvis.

Out of hospital earlier this week with crutches and a goody bag! 6-12 weeks recovery. So thats that for my season this year!

Anyway, how would you feel if the first time back on the internet since then you check your email and find one from a girl with a bit of a reputation in the area (who was also competing that day), asking you if you would consider selling up pony to her as she "does a lot of jumping, see's potential, cash waiting". Email was dated on hours after the fall.

Am I being to sensitive to feel like this is out of order so soon after the fall? And especially from someone I've never met and doesn't me or anything about me?

Be as harsh as you want!

I'd tell her to 'do one' and take time out of her competing schedule to find some social graces.

Vibes for speedy recovery.

Incredibly insensitive unless she didn't see the aftermath, bet that was like a smack in the gob! However, do you want the cash? :D

If not, harbour an intensive dislike for her until you can go back out on said pony and show her how it's done!:)

I would worry too much about it. Just someone trying their luck.

Must think your pony has a lot of potential which is a complement in a way.

Timing was unfortunate but not everyone has any manners.

Hope you are feeling better now.

Sorry to hear about your accident sounds nasty, hope you make a speedy recovery. I wouldn't say you was being over sensitive at all

How did she get your email if you don't know each other ..... assuming this is a private email, not on website etc.

Take it as a compliment! She clearly thinks your pony has great potential, now you have to get back on your feet, get back on the pony and show her what a great partnership you have!

Hope you don't take too long mending!

She doesn't seem to be the most tactful of people, does she? However she may not have been there to see the accident but had seen you ride earlier. I agree with taking at a compliment that you have a nice pony on your hands!

Just being a tad nosey, but you weren't competing in Derby were you? We had someone airlifted during a competition at our yard sunday before last.

BatGirl - Nooo, money not needed, one off from pony, I blame spring grass the day before!

quirky - facebook, sorry.

The OH says take it as a compliment, I think the best thing will be to act like it never happened :)

I couldn't tell you if she saw the fall or not, but friends say she did. Other say she laughed but I don't know if thats personal gripe they have with her or not. Again not knowing her personally, I'm just going off the email on my opinion of her.

Nope, was wednesday!

Oh how totally rude! Yes its a compliment but sounds to me like she's chancing her arm when she senses you'll be at a low point. I'd replying laughing and saying 'you wish, see you in 6-12 weeks!'

Also - please have some sympathy and healing vibes, that sounds sore :( x

Just be flattered someone's taken an interest in your horse. I'd have to get back to her and find out what sort of money she was thinking of offering, even if I didn't want to sell!

Hope you mend quickly. :)
