Hello...

Am dipping my toe in the water here.

Do you have a good mnemonic for a 20 x 60 arena? I haven't done a Novice/Elementary test for about 20 years:eek: and whilst I have absolutely no problem remembering All King Edwards Horses, I never used one for a 20 x 60 as in those days I could remember things. The old grey matter insists on swapping the letters around when I am on the ground, let alone riding, so thought I'd better learn one pdq. We have a stressage clinic next week and I shall be riding the new boy.

Thank you.

I remember all King Edwards Horses then RSVP for the other letters going anticlockwise from R on the right

Someone told me this one a few years back:

All King Victor Emmanuel's Show Horses Can Make Really Beautiful People Fall

Hi,

Did first 60m test this year and came up with:

All King Victor Edward's Super Horses Can Make Really Big Purple Fences

Good Luck!!

Ha! Great minds.........

All King Victor Emmanuel's Soldiers Horses Can Make Really Big Parallel Fences

(or fools seldom differ - depends on your point of view!) :)

Good Luck!

I've got no idea where the letters are, I just learn the shapes!

this is me too. i have a wipeable laminated arena plan i bought years ago and you can draw the test out. alternatively try buying the test sheets with the diagrams which show where you are going.

Thank you all. I do buy the diagrammes - I spend hours trotting around the drawing room carpet - but I do need to be able to picture in my head where the letters are, too, otherwise I tend to transpose them.
