Moan of the day

Well not a real moan but a little one.

Many times people ask for help and there are a few of us that can and would give help, face to face.

Now my little moan. It would be nice to know Which county people lived in, then maybe those that can give help would know if the person asking was close enough to go and help.

As I have said I have horses in for Rehab so I would be willing to go and help if the person was close enough.

Moan over.

I have come to the conclusion that not everyone on here really wants help! Some of them just like talking about themselves!

Some people post sagas about their problems and asking for advice. There was one that ended up being very local to me, so I offered to help for free (am an instructor too), and they decided to carry on with the situation they were in. Others sound like horrible situations, and get everyone outraged, but often there is another side to the story, and the post is hidden later. I've started taking a lot of it with a pinch of salt. Don't take it personally...x

I think it would be helpful if people put something in the location bit too, doesn't have to be too specific if people are worried about being identified.

Something like north east or west mids or whatever would do. It would mean that those who might offer help would have a rough idea whether it was worth contacting them. It isn't just people asking for help either, but talking about a horse they are selling or sharers or comps or yards or prices you can often be more helpful if you know the area they are on about.
 
if someone wants help then perhaps it is common sense to include where they are in post. i requested help for stabling near a competition last year and would have been utterly pointless not putting location!!!!

i have posted and asked others where they are and vice versa.

however think i will get onto my member profile and using my limited skills try to put my location on as any offers of help always appreciated.
 
I think I know where your coming from on this post.

PM them again if they ingore, if they don't have the decency to read their PM's or reply to them, then doubt very much your help will be welcomed anyway.
