LORD.

The people that were supposed to be coming to see Darcy today, cancelled last night. "we went to see another horse earlier in the week, which we didn't buy, but it has made us more sure of what we are looking for, so we have decided that she probably isn't for us"

I don't understand that statement atall, compairing a horse you haven't seen to one you have! Never mind though, atleast it wasn't a case of them just not showing up.

Also, a girl e-mailed me if i wanted to loan last week, I said no. She has again emailed asking if I would consider loaning at my yard, then a second e-mail followed soon after saying 'with view to buy?'
That SCREAMS timewaster to me, you really have no intention of buying her do you? No, thought not?

Also, a lady who contacted me a week after selling her horse that was 'the perfect horse', realising she had made a mistake selling it, and was basically looking to replace it, then decided D wasn't suitable. Has contaced again saying she is interested now, but I honestly don't think that Darcy would be suitable for her anyway.

MAN ALIVE. Please can I find someone soon, I'm loosing the will to live!

Anyone else having these isssues?

At least the first lot bothered to call you to cancel, and didn't leave you waiting for them to turn up, then they really would be timewasters.

As for the second, i have never had to sell a horse but i'm pretty sure that i would never "loan with a view to".

Buying was bad enough, i'm dreading the day i have to selll!

good luck, i hope you find the right buyer soon.

There is nothing wrong with the first people and you need to stop being so horrid. We went to see a lovely tb yesterday but he's not gonna make the eventer that mike wants and mike decided from yesterday that we don't want to look at full tbs any more. So if we were seeing more full tbs we'd cancel!! Think you've been quite horrid there actually.

The other two are bloody annoying though. Xx

Agree - first person was polite and didn't waste your time but the girl who keeps asking for a loan would start to annoy me. Just amend your ad to say "no loans thank you"!.

Keep going - just remember when you come to buy you will have just as many problems!

Totally understand first person. Looking for horse to buy is a process & what you're looking for an change along the way. Think they did the right thing to cancel rather than waste your time looking at your horse when they had already realised wasn't suitable for them.
Hope you find the right buyer soon. Market seems to be picking up.

Ah no, I'm really glad she phoned and told me she wasn't coming :) I was very thankful about that on the phone to her.

I just didn't like how she made a comparison about a horse she went to see, to one that she hadn't seen atall. It just came across quite badly on the phone! I had a feeling she was going to cancel to be honest anyway, as she hadn't been in contact all week.

I feel for my aunty who has to sell 6 west-highland white pups! :D
I don't tend to buy privately, luckily I have very good contacts, and have yet to have a bad horse!
I just get peeved at all these dishonest sellers, who don't give a stuff. Who seem to sell their horse in the blink of an eye!

Hope the market picks up, haven't advertised in horse and hound yet either! Bad Sophie.

Argh, people, the public, I should become a recluse.

Sorry but honestly if you buy and sell you do need people to look. Any who cancel an appointment are definitely a bonus. We keep horses for pleasure don't we?? :D
