T'was bloody hot yesterday so I rode with the door of the school open, on Tuesday Don was being a bugger, twitching every time I used my legs and stopping suddenly - so I was a bit wary of riding him with an obvious exit to run out off! But, he went spot on! Rode into all the corners, went on the bit, did a smashing canter - both reins - with circles!!

I do forget he's been at the yard "all his life" and is used to being ridden in the school with the doors open! but the difference in the way he went was amazing, he's clearly a nosy beggar who likes to be able to see what's making all the noise outside!!

Lots of horse like to know what is going on 'on the other side' as it were. Mine is noticeably better in an outdoor arena.

I'm wondering how he'll go [for me] out in the field ...

I want to start jumping him, I've found out there's a new class available these days with jumps starting at 60cm!!
