I'm looking to buy a mobile field shelter - probably the ones that convert into 2 stables. Can anyone recommend any? Also has anyone converted them into a yard with planning permission at a later date? All thoughts gratefully received!

I have towable stable, and thought i did not need planning permission, then the council came down and yes YOU do need planning permission and they have to be moved at least 3 times a year. I brought a few mobile stables from a guy in Kent, if you need a number p.m me, They are very good and well built.

I bought a mobile stable a year or so back now. I searched through all the main manufacturers and realised there isnt much difference in the price unless you break it down and then you realise a lot of the companies use thinner wood so it works out more expensive.
Best company is Redmire for price etc. They came and erected the shelter for me and put in the stable conversion within 1 week of me placing the order. The after sales have been great and the staff are really helpful.
Not had any problems with planning and were told by Redmire that if I wanted to make it permanent all I had to do was drag them onto a base and hey presto all done. Havent done that yet though.
If you go on Redmires website there is an article regards getting around the planning permission law and how appeals have worked and been allowed/not allowed. Very useful to print off and keep should your council get in touch.
