Mobile field shelters - tell me all.......

Would like to know things such as........

Do you need planning permission?
Can you use them as stables without planning permission?
What flooring have you got?
If you do use as stables how have you enclosed front ie gate etc
Any major things to consider?

Planning permission isn't usually needed for mobile shelters. But they do have to be mobile so on skids and you're supposed to move them from time to time. I'd be wary of doing any groundworks or putting down any kind of base that could lead to the shelter being classed as permanent eg hardcore or stone flags (although lots of people do without problems, my yard is in a conservation area so no way I'd get away with that). I don't have any flooring in mine, the ground is fairly well draining where it's sited so it doesn't get very muddy.
