Just wondering what planning permission is involved in having a mobile home put on a yard to be used as a permanent residence? And what happens about electricity, water and sewage etc? I guess electricity and water is quite easy to connect from the yard by a professional but wasn't sure about waste water.

Thanks :)

You would need to apply for a planning permission for a temporary dwelling.
You will also need a septic tank or a connection to mains sewage system, depending on local arrangement, Mobile homes are very easily connected to both electricity and water, but it also depends on your need for power, you CAN connect them just by a plug converter on a 13 amp plug into a socket, but it would restrict you a lot in what electric appliances you would be able to use.

ETS: Is there a house on the property? As that would make it a bit easier planning-wise

Yes the owner's house is at the opposite end of the property as I lease the land. Obviously I would ask their permission before applying for planning etc, I just wanted to know if it was an option first! There is also a house close to where I would ideally put the mobile home that doesn't belong to the land owner.
