what phone do you all have??? i am after a new mobile and prefer nokias as i am used to them- lazy i know but have little time to lern how to use a new one. i like the new nokia 5800 or N96 but my partner has had the screen crack on his and apprently this is a common problem with TFT screens in these sorts of phones which lots of phones have now. so what phone do you have and what do you do with it when riding/doing horses as apparently putting phone in jeans pocket is one of prime causes of cracking screens.

I have the Sony Ericsson cyber shot and I've had it over a year now and I ride with it in a pocket and it has never cracked yet, and it takes fab pics

i have a samsung, urrr i think its a G600, its a purple one, i wait for them to go down in price before getting them as they spend most of there time going across the concrete yard, im so clumsy with it, i put mine in my pocket, it is abit scratched, iv never heard that about jeans!

i've got a Nokia 6500 which has stood up well to being in my pocket all the time, has been dropped loads of times too. i always go for a really solid smallish phone, after a mate gave me a gorgeous Sony Eriksson flip phone, little dainty thing, and the first time i rode with it in my jacket pocket i folded over a jump and cracked the screen, gutting.

I only ever have samsungs and as someone above said only buy then when they are cheap as mine is permenantly being dropped, trodden on and is always stuffed in the back pocket of my jeans and that includes when i'm riding - ive never had a screen crack but have plenty of scratches permenantly !.

I have a Samsung gt-s5600, had it about 2 months. I usually have a nokia, but liked this one as it has a touch screen that does not scratch.

Memoey crap unless you buy card. So for me stay with the old ones, the memory is far bigger. Not all new is golden

i have the nokia e71, its styled on a blackberry but doesnt have so much on it so it works quicker and battery lasts forever. I like it cuz i like texting with the full keyboard, especially when hands are wet/muddy etc.

My company have given me a Palm Treo, which is great for texts, e-mail and holding down the edge of a large tarpaulin on a windy day.

Not big on mobile phones, but I do like Nokia's as they are tough. I have an emergency one in the car, which is black and another one which my son discarded which is silver. I don't know the model numbers, as far as I am concerned they are just phones I could easily live without.

Baah Humbug

but have a look at the N95s- they are the slightly older model (hence would be cheaper) of the N96 but has pretty much the same features...the camera on it is fantastic

My last nokia phone screen cracked but i think that was down to the pony throwing it on the floor and stamping on it 3 times, amazingly it still rang and i could have a converstion but i couldn't call out.
I just went into carphone warehouse and asked for an updated , similar version and now have a nokia 7310, which pony hasn't manged to get hold of yet!!!
