Hi. i need some help does anybody know off any websites where i can find the planing laws for mobile shelters?
My horse is in a field that has always been used to graze horses on but it is near a main highway. We have erected a mobile shelter but the local council is saying that it is`int aloud and we need planing permision.
I`ve spoke to some companies that build mobile shelters and they have all said that a mobile shelter dont need planing. i need some written prof tho so i can hand it to the council.
i would appreciate as much help as i can get thank you...

It depends on the council and area. In areas of outstanding natural beauty, even mobile shelters need planning permission. Check if you are in an aonb or similar and check your local councils planning department and local plan.

Unfortunately it depends on individual Planning Departments, not all areas allow them for various reasons.

Do remember that mobile field shelter companies are in the business of selling you their produce.

They are rather prone to glossing over the finer points of planning permission - don't believe everything they say!

It does hugely depend on where you are and how strict your local authority is. If the planning people say you have to apply for permission, they are usually correct, annoyingly.

You do need Planning Permission for mobile shelters. Some local planning departments do not enforce it until they get a complaint!

Your easiest solution is to apply for planning permission. (You do not need to be the owner of the land to apply for planning oermission).

Get a local surveyor to apply on your behalf.
