Educated guess would be one is introductory and with the normalyou would be expected to know a bit more of what goes on, bigger fences? People less likely to be looking out for you? You can always go and watch ( my default if not sure ). Do you mean drag humting though as all hunting is effectively mock nowadays.?
I went drag hunting years ago and was completely put off. When out hunting "properly" I did find that manners were a lot better but when I went drag hunting people seemed to be totally out of control, cutting others up, cutting across, tanking in front when others were lining up to jump and blaming their horses excitement on being out. I had to retire early as my horse ( whom I had hunted a lot) then became thoroughly wound up in a way I didn't have to contend with normally and he and I would have normally stayed out for most of the day. Just shows how one bad experience can colour your judgement as will never do that again!
Its deffinantly a mock hunt. I no my begginer hunt the jumps were optional so im wondering if these ones may be bigger and not optional. I have agreed to take my friends horse ( but i thought it was begginers) The horse has been hunting a lot before so hopefully that will be okay but im going with a friend and her and her horse have never hunted before.
