Mohican mane....

Hi all
My boy has a truly amazing mane, he was always hogged by his previous owners and by me for a couple of years but now I am trying to grow it. Trouble is no matter how I thin it, rake it, plait it over make him wear a hoody thing the minute I turn him out it goes vertical!!!!

Any suggestions?

You just need to be patient! My old mare was hogged due to sweet itch, but fine on a certain yard so we grew it out and it took a year to start looking normal-ish. Then we moved yards and there were more midges so off it came.

Mine's the same and a girl with a cob on my yard belled her horse's mane to train it. It really worked!
