Hi, has anyone had their water supply mole ploughed in? Are you happy with it?!
Did you pay a daily rate or per meter? I've got about 250 / 300 metres to do.
Thanks.

Years ago we did ourselves - got a device fabricated my a welder friend and attached it to the tow bar of an ordinary car then laid garden hose in the trench. Crude but effective and it worked for years until we took up the hose when the field was sold for development.

A friend of ours had some mole ploughing done, the guy said it would take longer to drive there and back than actually plough the pipe in, he charged a day rate because most of his time was driving there and the fuel. Its definitely the right way to go. We had a pipe that was run inside a hedge and was always freezing up. definitely get it buried.

I have just found - drainage contractor in to mole plough in 450m @ 3 ft deep, half a day, for about £400 whcih included getting the machie to and from the field.

Great thank you everyone. Had someone out for a quote but he wanted £900 for 250 m. I was considering as it'll make less mess, but the digger driver is cheaper, even having him there for 3/4 days and he'll concrete and put down stone around troughs in that time as well.
