One of our lot is a rather lazy pony - condition score of 3 so just right - fit and healthy - everything checked on a 6 monthly basis. Fed cool and collected from A&P. I am toying with the idea of feeding a little something 'extra' to give a bit more energy but cant decide on oats or m. Sugar beet. Can you help with the pros and cons for each to help me decide. Or should I just 'up' the amount of C&C - fed one round scoop a day - recomended by A&P. Ridden every day - either half hour schooling or 1-2 hours hacking. No jumping competed dressage twice a month with a 2 monthly pleasure ride. Thanks.

How about ringing A&P for advice? I wouldn't give mollassed sugar beet, it will help with weight gain but try a handful of oats and see what happens :) Sorry not much help really!

Second this. Cool & Collected may not the best product for your pony's current workload. One of the main ingredients is unmolassed sugar beet so I wouldn't recommend adding molassed sugar beet. If you add anything, you'll need to think about how the mineral and vitamin balance will be affected and then you're into adding supplements or balancers..which defeats the object of feeding a complete feed! ;-)
I have a friend who swears by Power & Performance for her lazy lad.
