Well, following from MrsElle's beach trip with her new rottie the other day, my mum, dad and me set off to filey on Monday with Molly and my parent's two dogs. This was where I was going to brave letting her off the lead for the first time in the 4 weeks I had her. we took plenty of treats and a squeaky ball as a bribe! Seems the squeaky ball is the key. Unfortunately I forgot to take my camera so had to rely on my dad for pictures (he kept forgetting!) therefore they are not great but gives you an idea!

Molly and Boots waiting for the ball to be thrown (note our old dogs Sox getting all giddy in the background!)

Boots and Sox realising I had treats (Molly was more bothered about the ball!)

And one of Molly and Sox (she likes to lie with him on his bed) mainly just to shown her HUGE ears!!

All in all she's been very good and my mum and dad have had her off the lead for walks the last couple of days. I think it is helping her in her socialisation with other dogs as she can get reactive on the lead with them. We are off to our first training class on morning having had our assessment last week. I am looking forward to it!

Awwwww lovely pictures:D they are all having a ball:D

And she gets the award for the most mahooooooooooooooooooooosive ears of AAD:eek::D:D:D

Ha ha - yeah they are huge! She did have a fab time, had great fun chasing a youg whippet type round and round (he was VERY fast!!!).

Our oldei is 14 and he just loves the beach so all in all 3 very happy (and tired) dogs at the end of the day. Our GSD x is a bugger though and kept nicking the ball and trying to head out to sea with it!

Aww, they all look like they are having such a good time but OMG, those ears!!! Do you know her breeding.... this is a lad who was rescued by a girl I know, remarkable resembelance!!

Ooh yeah that's the spit of her! I have no idea what breeding she is as i initially thought terrier x but some of the things she does reminded me of some sort of collie/agility type dogs I have seen. I googled kelpies and certainly the black and tan ones have the same ears as her and some are almost identical. Sooo, i think kelpie x maybe? Someone on here said they had one in rescue (funnily called Molly too - i changed mine's name when i got her) and that was a collie x kelpie about the same age. Out of interest how old is the dog in the picture and where abouts are they?

This is more of a face close up (her ears just make me chuckle!)

I think he was about 5/6months a the time and was found near edinburgh, although he does have a different face, a vet reckoned he was perhaps Thai Ridgeback x something but thats a bit exotic for a rural scottish stray!! They definitely both have a Kelpie look to them, Molly is gorgeous!

Thanks. Think I shall have her doing flyball or agility (or both!) eventually as she loves chasing balls and bringing them back (which is helpful!)
