got two horses to look after on D.I.Y livery this year 1 12hh over weight laminetic 9 year old who may i add is blind!!! and a 16.1hh poor doer irish sport horse 3 year old who is also a weaver ive got the best of both worlds here!
current arrangements are 3 year old out during day in at night and the laminetic in during day out at night. so far so good but i can see the more i get into winter the harder its going to be ANY time saving and money saving tips would be fab :)

I dont know if you use haynets or not but one thing i found a saviour was to spend a half hour or so at a weekend and fill haynets for the week, saves a bit of time every day. Are you on shavings or straw? deep litter through the week might also save some time and mucking out with rubber gloves saves money through wasting less bedding.

yep im on haynets otherwise the blind one drags her hay everywhere and because its soaked makes a right mess of the bed and im on straw too. good ideas might try them starting next week and see if i have any extra time thanks :)
