Does anyone have experience with it and changes over time? Dentist is great but said he doesn’t see enough cases to be able to give a definitive answer as to how things will progress and of course they’re all individuals. As it stands dentist is really pleased with how things are looking, he eats well etc. Moving forwards we’re going to sedate every other visit so he’s able to ensure a really thorough job is being done.

Few pics if anyone wants a nosey, not something you come across often, bit of a rubbish video too

There’s no cure as such, just ongoing and regular dental care as teeth can wear incorrectly and cause issues. There is an op that can be done to wire the jaw but he’s too old now. Apparently this is preferable to parrot mouth as the jaw can still operate correctly whereas with a parrot mouth the top teeth effectively block the forward motion of the lower jaw.

My Shetland has this
Other than having 6 monthly dentals he lives an entirely normal life

Oh fantastic, that’s reassuring!

He eats easily enough, he can manage a net but I pop his haylage in a big trough which he finds better and he tips bucket feeds out and eats off the floor. Hey, whatever works buddy!!

One molar currently isn’t wearing down but other than that and a rasp of the front bottom ones he was looking great. I am going to get a bit consultant out when he’s in proper work just to ensure he’s happy. Just hoping his adult teeth come in correctly
