What monoflap event saddles do everyone recommend. I'm currently looking for a new saddle and quite like the look of the fairfax classic and albion k3. has anyone got experience with these saddles? I'm also considering a cwd jump instead of a monoflap? Help is definitely needed!!!

It's always about the fit for the horse, and then the fitter (you want a recommended trusted one, whatever the brand), and lastly what fits you. Personally I'm no fan of the French close contact saddle in general, but many of course get on with them. But then I'm probably not a fan of Albion either, but that might depend on having a really great fitter. Fitters of French brands tend to be riders and reps, rather than saddle fitters with in depth training.

How comes you’re not a fan of Albion?

I really rate the Ideal Patriot, made for Stirlingshire Saddle Fitters. They're not a pretty saddle but very highly thought of up here by eventers and are flocked so good for adjustment compared with many cc ones. I know they have sold down South too so perhaps worth a call.
