I have been offered an 'Ideal' Monoflap saddle and really like the look of it. I currently jump my horse in a stubben which I like as it keeps me really secure over a fence. With the Monoflap saddle do I need a special saddlecloth or can I use my usual 'half a sheep' without it ruining the close contact feel? Any advice or opinions on this saddle would be great as I have never even sat on one before so some feedback before I try and things to bear in mind would be fab. Thankies.

You can put your half sheep under the saddle as long as it fits with it on , but you will need to sort its fastening if it has the traditional long straps for fitting to the girth straps.
This easily done by cutting off the excess strap and sticking a new bit of Velcro , or everytime you put the pad on tape up the excess strap, I found that a hassle through and shortened all of my saddle clothes.
I have four patriot mono flap saddles which ideal make for another saddler I love them.
