NAKED!

He's pushing 30 so he's been in a lightweight with a fleece for a couple of weeks. I took the fleece off at the beginning of the week and took the plunge this morning and took it all off for the day. CRUEL WOMAN!

I guess all horses are different but there are plenty of haffies/welshies etc with HWs on in my field. It's like people say 'I'm rugging October til March', bung their only rug on and then don't look at the weather.

My horse has a different rug everyday as the weather is so up and down atm that I dont want him getting to warm but hes fully clipped out so he has a light weight on and hes nice and toastie when he comes in.
I want my h/w for when its very cold

I love what I call 'nude day' which is the first time in the Spring when they go out without rugs and have the roll of a lifetime! Fabulous.

Murphy has not been clipped this year so has not yet been rugged. Yesterday it was 18 degrees here and the poor lad was sweating! Visted a friends yard yesterday and there was an unclipped welsh type out with a full neck rug on, why?!

My 2 natives are buffo day and night bless 'em.

The poofy one is rugged up (MW)...but then he has a full clip....saving the HW for when it actually gets cold

The dealer we bought my daughters ID X from ruggs all his regardless of age/type on the first of setember. Everything from Welshies to TBs!! Not lightweight rugs either. Crazy.

The only one of ours rugged is our Cuhings boy whos 26. He did have his medium weight rug on for a couple of nights but now its gone warmer again hes gone back to his lightweight.
