Monty Roberts - Keysoe 18th - Who's going???

ive seen mr roberts about 3 times. was a total sceptic.
went home and joined up with my tb mare who was in no ways fond of me! she a redhead with the manners out on a hack of a seriel killer on acid! (jumped in front of buses,bin lorries,army vehicles,cars,milk floats..even a kid on a trike :o

certainly improved our "face to face" relationship but although she was a bit weird for hacking I certainly feel it improved our lives.
I then went on to do my next 5 horses with his methods. and i intend starting my ickle fella Oliver over the summer with this method and then carry on the long reining round the village to up his fitness and then work out his driving future. I do use a lot of monty and kelly marks's methods with my youngsters.
i know lots of people poo poo his methods but as he dont wave sticks at them or slap their faces or try to scare them into doing things ill often have more time to listen to his methods than some other "NH" people
but if he needs volunteers for his shows he can always use my ollie? xx
 
Cant stand the bloke so I won't be going. Really like Kelly Marks and her work though so would go to one of her Masterclasses again depending on location. The work she and her RA's do is top notch and I work a lot with IH methods with my own horses.
 
CrazyFriesian, thanks for making this thread! Didn't know it was on and not far from me, so just booked tickets.
So, yes, me & 2 of my daughters going. Can't wait now - don't get out much!
 
Think last night's demo was one of the best in a long time! Especially watching him work with the headshy mare, who looked so relieved to be able to have her head and ears stroked!
And for the record, anyone who thinks they have a horse that would benefit from being worked by Monty at a demo just needs to call the IH office on 01488 71300!

I agree, the work with the headshy horse was fantastic and she was really appreciating having her ears stroked and head rubbed.
 
Oh I really enjoyed it and came away armed with a Dually halter. Nemo is a nightmare to load and after taking 4 hours to load him after his one and only show (couldn't face taking him to another after that), I am keen to give it a go!
Went with 2 of my daughters and we all had tears in our eyes at the headshy mare. She was clearly asking for more ear rubbing after being so headshy and was thoroughly enjoying it.
 
Do we get the tickets from keysoe or through IH website its self? I normally buy them on the door but i nearly missed out last time so will get them in advance this time.

Did anybody see the little grey connie at the private audience. I have recently purchased him and would like the opinions of the people who saw it in person.
