Moody mares?

I was just wondering what people think warrents giving a mare "moody mare" or isit "Oestress"?

Was thinking of it for mine but she isn't awful just really grumpy doesn't want to be caught or for you to do much with her in general just a bit stroppy about stuff really i think describes how she acts?

I wouldn't use it unless their temperament has changed - stroppy when been ridden etc. I had a blood test done when my mare got stroppy and it revealed she had a hormone imbalance which was treated in two weeks. Saved me loads of money as it meant I wasn't spending money on supplements to correct it

Yeah I agree with Zalacca but if she does need a supplement (if vet cant find anything) I would try feel good 30 hormonal mare first cos that Oestruss stuff stinks and a couple of mares on my yard wouldnt eat it!
