Not nearly as exciting as all these eventing reports, stupid uni work meant I had to miss Aldon
Anyway, Flossy did a Bill Levett SJ clinic on Saturday, organised by eventingworldwide.com. She really does amaze me- she's never done anything like this but she clicked straight into it, dozed off with the others when waiting her turn an then performed really well. She's really getting the hang of trusting me and waiting for a stride, by the end she confidently popped a small course. He was impressed by how bold she is and said she makes a lovely shape.
Moonie, poor thing, had to go and do dressage today. Thankyou very much to Dieseldog for her entries, very glad we went!! First test was quite abyssmal. It was snowing up until 10 mins before my test so decided to leave her on the lorry till last possible minute. She warmed up really well and then just could not concentrate in the arena! There was a man trying to chase away a pheasant (dont ask) in the next field. She fell over the boards once then almost fell over them later but saw them at the last second and jumped out of the arena *rolls eyes*
2nd best was far, far better, did some really nice trotwork and her canter was more rideable, even though her transitions are still a bit dodgy. She scored 65% which I thought was fair, I'd have expected it to get about 36 in a BE test.
