Moral support needed - going to hack out on my own tonight!

My plan is to do a short schooling session first to get him listening to me and then go out for a very short hack down the farm drive opposite.

Still getting my confidence with hacking out again but now feel we can do it so here goes :-) xx
 
Good for you! Be Positive!!! When i first started taking Amber out on her own i spent the whole time talking rubbish to her, anyone going past mustve thought i was mental lol!
 
Go for it! Very best of luck, you'll feel amazing once you've done it. Totally sympathise with the nerves, I was petrified when I took Monty out by himself first time... we're doing it again today, will only be our second time going out alone. Just take it steady and work little goals at a time: "we're going to get to this tree/wall/gateway" and then reward yourself, and then set the next goal, and keep talking to yourself and the horse :)

Oh, good luck - you'll be fine! You seem to be doing things right (remember all the advice about singing, talking, being positive etc) and I know from my own experience, there is no point in trying before you feel you are ready! NOW IS THE MOMENT!!

(I'm not at that point yet - not on my own, anyway)

Good luck , stay positive and don't forget to breathe , make sure you remember to add to this post the outcome of your hack - by thinking about what you're going to tell us all later and what your going to write about will help you focus on positive things - you could even tell your boy all about us - good luck x
 
Thanks so much everyone, your support is keeping me motivated :-) going up to yard at half five so will post a update when I get back. Will keep all your advice in my mind and like the idea of getting to certain markers and then picking another etc etc
