Actually the v naughty thread has reminded me to ask.

im looking at installing an industrial machine at my new yard for rug washing — how big a machine do people use for big rugs ? Is a top loader better?

i currently have an old domestic machine in the tack room which will take a lightweight stable rug happily but not much more just wondering what the pros use

I have a large Maytag which is front loading to wash my animal stuff. It can take large rugs but I have found that since I have started to use 50g or 100g outers and then liners they do get washed better than the heavy turnouts that I previously used. I could get a 7' heavy weight t/o in but it didn't always come out that clean. It is used regularly for saddle pads, boots, rugs and dog beds.
