Unfortunately Billy Twomeys ride Pikap has had to be PTS today. He was competing at Grobendonk (sp) & his cannon bone shattered on take off. Billy was taken to hospital as he was unconscious for about an hour (so I am told) What a terrible tragedy. My thoughts go out to all of them.

Oh my god how awful, I was keeping an eye on the results this morning and saw a large wait after Billy had been in. Such a stunning horse he was too.

Thats awful. I watched that horse at the British Open, exciting prospect and beautiful to watch.
I hope Billy has a speedy recovery.

Poor Billy hope he recovers soon.
He does seem to have bad luck with horse's (though not usually this bad) When Tiger went to him who I use to groom as his Olympic ride he then got a sandcrack & then had to be hobdayed.

Hope things pic up for him soon.

RIP Pikap

Oh God. How bloody awful. Glad Billy is ok - I used to go to school with him and follow his career with much interest. Condolences to all the horse's connections.

MM - it happens. My friend's horse shattered a hind leg just cantering across the field.
