More comfortable girths

Hi

Can anybody suggest what type of girth would be most comfortable for my TB? I have a Farrington Event saddle and wanted to put him in a girth that will give him space around his shoulders to move?

One as wide as possible, with elastic at both ends not one. If you go for a w shaped one they have to be very exact for size and dont give much room for weight gain/loss so i prefer the traditional atherstone girths.

The wider the better because it spreads the pressure and elastic both ends also equalises the pull.
