Not for the first time. I've seen it there at weekends.

They used to regularly hold me up doing that.
The scariest antics though was when one guy was lunging his trotter on the grass rounderbout - a perfect place apparently! the horse was so close to the cars - it was scary!

As reported in the WHT last week, one horse died after being left neglected for weeks. Another was left critically ill, but is now recovering well in a veterinary hospital.

Once again,WHY did a horse have to die before action was taken??
Were the new laws not ment to enable the police to act before it got to that point?

Yep but they are very reluctant to intervene in certain sectors of the community :-((

Our local paper recently reported one of the trotters having to be freed by the fire brigade from a drain he became stuck in.

What they completely failed to say was that the trotter was pulling the trap with guys in it and the reason it got stuck was that the thing was only 2 years old! hence his hoof was too small and went down a gap.

It makes me so furious :-((( we report it all the time and nothing happens. The only time my OH tacked them as they beat a horse which had flipped over completely on the main road, they punched him :-O
