When you take your lorry for plating, do you have to load it?

Also any ideas where I can get a handbook for an 03 Iveco 7.5?

You don't have to load it, but I think it makes the brakes work better if you do have some weight in the back. I've never bothered though and mine has always passed.

Hi, my lorry goes tomorrow for its plate but the mechanic is taking it so I know nothing about loading it. I have read somewhere that people do this though for the brakes.
I have also looked for a manual for my Iveco 7.5t with little success. I rang the main dealer who said they dont do them anymore and Id be lucky to get one for such an old wagon, mines a 2001??? They suggested breaker yards. If you do get one, please let me know where from as one year on I still dont know what all my switches etc are for

Ive learnt as Ive gone along, thankfully at no expense, like being told not to put your clutch in straight away as can burst the pipe, waiting for the air in the brakes before you will move. All very embarrassing at the time as I thought it was broke lol.

Thanks. Oh by the way, I now have a plate. The new Tacho sticker is in the inside of the door not inside the actual tacho, so not such a mystery as to why it was sprayed over in the first place.

Great news, Im fingers crossed for mine tomorrow. I couldnt find a sticker on mine with a date on it, only one with 8000 written on it. I did find a certificate though with the paperwork I got when I bought it that said it was valid until 2012?? We shall see.
