how exactly does one stitch a tail up like k9h showed in her picture in the last discussion about tails?

I'm thinking i might add it to my reprtoire and see if i can slowly de-sensitise ron to it so he doesn't buck every time his tail if folded up!

I do a normal tail plait & then just carry on with the plain plait to the bottom.
Band that, fold a third up & stitch up that amount then fold that on itself again & stich that up.
Sometimes feel like I could use a knitting needle for it but manage with a normal one!
I stitch in the v made where the hair comes across (if that makes sense?) You can just see the thread in the pic. Alternating sides as I go up.

Always stays up & clean.

marvellous thank you!

I just have to work out how to stop it making him want to buck now!

Pete has a 17.3 hireling on Saturday - the same horse that managed to somersault the pair of them over a show jump a fortnight ago, and the same horse that jumped a five bar gate from trot on his first days hunting.... could be an interesting day!
