She's such a cute looking little pony :) and she is progressing gradually at the rate you'd expect. Still looking like she'll foal around her average due date so no need to put the champers on ice just yet :)
 
Awww thanks Spring Feather! I love her, but its always nice to know other people like her too!
Yes, after the initial 'argh shes having the baby NOW'... ive calmed down ;) and think she will get pretty much to 340 days...possibly 335ish but shes changing every day, which is showing me how much more change there is to come! x
 
Well, just to let you know that I never trust mares! They can be textbook one minute and then all of a sudden made that final change so you never can tell :) I have one about to drop at the moment and she's a card! She's not due for another two and a half weeks but she's going to go tomorrow night I feel. 3 or 4 days ago she was static, milk tested her 2 days ago and a dramatic change in the ph levels so I think tomorrow night is going to be the start of my foal watch on her. Having history with these mares helps a great deal though. Maidens or unknowns are much more tricky ;):)
 
Oh gosh tell me about it! Daizy - my coloured mare - showed no sign at all at 2am of foaling, and at 4 am had done the deed! Nightmare! That was years ago now so really a foaling virgin!
Im keeping a hugely close eye on Seri, she has changed and then changed back so many times the past week! I cant draw her at the mo, so Im thinking we have a way to go yet...however she does step over me and wander off when Im faffing with her teats, so I havnt tried much! x
 
How is she doing? Any more changes?

I had the 'OMG she's going to foal now!!!' panic too, but damn mare just plodded on, little change here, little change there... oh suppose I'd best foal now... kept me waiting till 351!!

Good luck, Seren is so pretty, post more pics!! and of course looking forward to the foaly ones :D
 
Dont tell me she went 11 days over!! I might have a nervous breakdown!!!!
More pics to come tonight, no massive changes, just gently plodding along! Im still thinking she will be a bit early, but not a huge amount, probably day 335ish....

I was convinced she would have a Mayday baby! :( ;)

She's looking good! Has her temperament changed or is she still the same? (My mare has done a 360 degree turn in attitude)

I agree with Spring Feather about the unknown, when I saw a maiden foal you wouldn't think she could have supported the foal with her bag! Hardly anything, waxed up that night, foaled at 11:50 or something ridiculously close to the next day and then the foal had trouble suckling as she had so little bag/her teats were tiny too, in the end it worked out though with a little helping hand after about 3 hours of trying to get him to suckle :)
 
No milk and no grumping! Shes quite flightly, and yet wants cuddles all the time too!
Such a sweet girl, very fed up of being fat!!xx
