Oh KB she looks lovely, still think you should be careful in case one of us comes along and steals her away. No seriously she looks to be enjoying her job!

Lovin the nickname 'Popeye'
wink.gif

Hello *waves*, well done. She's looking very happy and shiny and obviously loving her jumping. Not sure about the 'Popeye' name though!

Don't know if the pics are in the order of the jumps but you look more and more confident in each one
smile.gif
. the last two are especially good, my favourite is the 5th one, 2nd to last.

She looks as though shes really enjoying herself
smile.gif

Haha, thanks guys, and you cant even see her dodgy eye in pics
wink.gif
(actually you cant really tell now in real life, thanks to the fab vet
grin.gif
) I am very pleased with her! Wandamare, yes they do go in order, the second to last is the second part of the double, and we've only just mastered doubles, so I was pleased with her

Gorgeous pics - very well done, just read the other thread
smile.gif
She looks so game and up for it, which as you know is half the battle
wink.gif

One thing (you did ask
wink.gif
), just watch your hands being a bit fixed over the fences - if you look at the photos, they never move from their position just in front of the withers. It's very difficult when they are keen and quick like Lucky as you subconsciously don't want to let go, but you still have to make yourself soften in the air to allow her to drop her head and make a good shape... In the first picture she has droppped her head and her nose is somewhere close to her knees - perfect
smile.gif
In the others, she's jumping a bit head high (nose quite a way from her knees), and I think if you can soften a little more it will encourage her to round
smile.gif
It will come, she's a sweetheart and you're doing a great job

2nd pic good but fav is the last one.

Your position is not defensive at all, in the last one in particular it was very good and where you should be, you look much safer with weight in the correct place rather than up the neck and in front of her. On the last pic if you took lucky from under you you look as if you would land on your feet not your nose IMHO.

Thanks TD! Yep I did ask, and thats exactly the sort of thing I want, thank you!
smile.gif

She isnt the easiest as she will just galllop at fences if you're not careful, but thats no excuse, it just means I've got to get quicker at releasing my hands
smile.gif
She just finds it all SO exciting, she is going to teach me alot
smile.gif
I'm realy pleased with how much stronger she looks already though?
smile.gif

Thanks G
smile.gif
The second one I loved cos of the colours etc, and the last one actually is her "dodgy" side
wink.gif
tongue.gif
Not that you can tell at all! It was a close one though
tongue.gif

only thing i dont like in the second is the position of your lower leg with your feet turned out and gripping with the back of your calf, lower leg position gets better down the series of photos. Can understand how it is happening though. Overall I feel your position, especially upper body, is much better on her than Goddy

Haha! Yes thats through "pushing over" with that outside leg! It was the second fence and was on a dogleg from the first, so I was having to use alot of outside leg to keep her into my hand...
grin.gif
But still inexcusable

My position had got better on G since I had this saddle.... but yes agree, I stay "with" her more I think.

i can't believe she's only 4...i think you are lying and you have really splashed out 15k on an experienced 8 year old
grin.gif
tongue.gif
seriously i think she looks fab and very 'grown up' ad not arsed by spooky fillers and things...mine would have heart failure i think
smirk.gif

Thanks thistle, I think so too
grin.gif
I'm slowly being converted to bay mares
tongue.gif

Haha Diggerbez! She is fab cos she does take everything in her stride now
smile.gif
Though the bucking and squeaking around the warm up wasnt very grown up
