Ok, so following my post earlier this week, sarcoid has been pretty much stable (no more bleeding) and clean, so I've left it alone. Today it was bloody again,

... so started washing and it came loose in my hand. it also seemed to have burst in itself. Most gruesome and fascinating!

Was tempted to give it a hearty tug and get rid of it, but I figured it would drop off by itself when PF lay down tonight.
I phoned vet (not a holiday here) who told me she was coming round to 'undo' PF's caslick.

Dangly thing...

On examination of sarcoid she said she would tie a band on it to cut off blood so it'd drop off more cleanly... However, as soon as she tied the bit of string on it... it dropped of.
Have only got pics of the hole 'dressed' as all the others were really badly out of focus

When I clean the hole tomorrow I'll take some more pics

I once bought a horse from a sale (as I felt sorry for her)with a sarcoid twice the size of an egg exactly like your one, we banded it and it dropped off within a week, we hunted round the paddock and found it. I have it on video somewhere, it was gross!
Glad yours has got sorted, they are bizarre aren't they. Oh and hers never recurred. She had another that we shrunk back that was different with T tree and Propolis cream. Worked wonders.

My grey had a sarcoid about six months ago but it was an intact lump. The vet went to band it and it fell off in his hand, which seems to be a good sign for not returning! Hope yours is gone for good!

Toto had an icky sarcoid on his hindquarters, the vet prescribed this orange ointment called bloodroot cream. It shrunk and then had an elastic band tied round it. It dropped off and it's never grown back

Fingers crossed that PF's sarcoid doesn't grow back either!

I'll bet you anything it was the Camrosa that is responsible for that. I know you stopped using it a while ago, but I have found the same with it, sometimes after using it and thinking you are getting nowhere, you stop using it and voila! off it pops.

A result however achieved.

So pleased it's off! Little Cob had one on his chest. I banded it, because I knew no better

, but it disappeared and so far no new ones have appeared, so have fingers crossed! Don't like lumpy bumpy bits.

Excellent - should be all healed well in time for foalie!

My girl had an enormous one we put fishing line round and dropped off. Never has returned so fingers crossed for you!

I hafd a show horse on livery with me back in 97. He had one on exact same sot but you could barley cover it with a cupped palm

In the end the vet dug it out When he had finished removing it all I could put my fist in the hole

wish we had digi cameras back then as would of made wonderful pics

His healed up to just form a line scar across the site of removal.

It was not nice when he first came back!

I had one of those large garden sprayers that you pump up & I filled it with salt water & use to keep spraying him with it.

Claude was such a good patient being 17.3hh he just stood in his stable for me to squirt him loose!

Was very impresed how well & quickly he healed up.
