More saddle shopping!

Depends on your budget but I have always liked the Farringtons saddles (sold by Crewe), have had a show hunter from them which was very comfortable and reasonably priced.

Have just had to order a new saddle for my old boy, again got a show hunter style as he has an odd shoulder & needs straighter cut saddles, we are getting a Saddle Company saddle which again seems very comfortable & is at the cheap end of the saddle range.

At the end though it depends on what fits your horse. I always have a completely open mind re makes etc and leave it to the saddler to recommend. What saddler do you use?

I use David at Village.

I have an Albion SLK and a saddle co CC jump saddle, but neither are suitable for showing really.

I also have to get M2M for G as he's off the chart XXXX wide *sigh*

I've not heard of the Farringtons saddles though, I'll have a look

I like the Ramsay.

I really like this one too Working hunter show cut

and love it in suede but can't imagine that being very practical!!

I will be using the saddle for hacking etc.

That's a lovely looking saddle but can't see any knee rolls or anything so may take some getting used to and a sticky bum!

The Ramsay doesn't have knee rolls either and I have to really concentrate to stop my bum slipping back.... they do look good though!

one of my old horses had an ideal saddle which was very nice . Kings saddles are quite similar and lovely and comfortable, I have just sold a couple of my old kings ones to some friends off mine and they love them. I have a Cliff barnsby jumping saddle now.
