I have to agree with you, I was looking forward to my ride today and I've woken up to a light covering of snow and I am in East Devon!! Hate it go away snow

A weekday wouldn't have mattered, I could have had a snow day off from work.

i'm in west sussex we had snow yesterday evening but the ground was to wet for it to lay thankfully, we have sunshine but it is very colllllddddddd

We've had about an inch overnight here (Durham). Don't mind really as it's such a beautiful day - the beasties are all naked enjoying the sunshine!

At least 2" in Bedlington (Northumberland), daughter had a lesson booked this morning but we can't get to it although apparently there is less inland. She still rode though, she took the pony to the nearby fields where the snow was lovely and powdery.

We have had a inch of snow this morning, and I was hoping to ride after being away on holiday for nearly two weeks. Hoping that I will be able to go out later.

We had loads of the stuff before I went on holiday so couldn't ride then either!

We had about an inch and a half of snow overnight, also a very sharp frost, no riding for me today! I live in the Norfolk Broads.

We've had a heap too. Meant to be high winds and heavy snow tomorrow here as well which means drifting. Very unimpressed, the snow which has been here since before Xmas has only JUST melted and its here again. Spent the last 2 hours clipping my very furry horse in preparation for (wishful thinking) getting him back into work ASAP and doing some boring-dressage for the rest of winter.

Just a light dusting here in Wiltshire yesterday evening, but it froze hard and so although it's a beautiful sunny day, the roads are still icy in the shade - so my planned long hack in the sunshine isn't going to happen, can't go anywhere without a little roadwork first. Just hoping the arena will have defrosted so I can school instead, serious lack of riding this winter is starting to get me down!

More snow and another really heavy shower on the way by the looks of it! (Caithness, Top of Scotland). Cant even hose my horses leg now bcos the hose is frozen, will jus have to hope swelling goes down itself :S

south bucks and have seemed to escape the white stuff!!! glorious sunshine today, once everything had thawed a bit, hacked one out and schooled the other.

thanking my lucky stars!

I'm in South Bucks too, on top of the Chilterns. Last night we had a complete white out but we were only left a dusting of snow. Shows how localalised the showers were.

But that dusting is proving trecherous, so much more so than when we had all the snow.

This evening I popped out in our 4X4. The main road out of our village had a short but deep, downard stretch followed by an upward one. I wasn't driving fast as as I approached the bend into the dip I could see blue flashing lights, I slowed and started breaking gently, but on the downward stretch, that light dusting had turned into a long downward stretch of sheet ice. Nothing I could do, sliding down the ABS started chuntering away so I used cadence breaking but to no avail. Once you start going you go! All I could think of was hitting the police car in the dip! I steered away and luckily got traction back. The reason for the blue lights? A people carrier on it's roof, pretty well beaten up. I just hope the people were okay. So be careful, the "dusting" we've had is turning very dangerous as temperatures are dipping below zero again.
