I was quite surprised at how awkward the new 4* test looked at Badminton but assumed this was maybe an eventer thing
but reading this week's H&H there was a fair bit of criticism from the big names.
The serpentine in particular looked a right **** & I don't think I'd like to ride it on my dressage horse, never mind on a super fit eventer. I was watching Julie Tew ride through it on Sir Roselier yesterday on horse hero (video here) & it just looks awkward.
I hope the dressage phase isn't going to go like the XC by getting all fiddly & technical to try & catch out horses instead of rewarding bold forward riding
