Hi everyone.

Had a call from the yard first thing this morning and legged it there - a bit of a scare but she was ok.

However this evening I went to check her about 8pm, took her temperature and it was back up to over 103F. Called the vet and she was once again there very quickly. The lumps have spread and are now all round her teats and ladybits, not just on her head anymore. She's covered in them. Vet has given her a few more injections and I have more drugs for her to have. Bless her she's very very itchy but putting up with it all despite hating being stabled.

Bloods have now been taken and will be sent off tomorrow unless she's MUCH brighter. I really would like them sent off anyway so that I can know what it is. I'm going back in a bit to check on her and take her temperature again before leaving her for the night.

I feel absolutely drained and am hoping this will start to head the right direction at last. Scary thing is there's a fair few on our yard who will only come up every other day or so to see their horses - if I'd done that with Genie she'd be dead.

PLEASE make sure your horses are checked every day without fail.

Poor pony. I was wondering, seeing as it seems that the reaction started on her nose, is there a possibility that she's been bitten by an adder?

Oh goodness she sounded like she was on the mend too....

Now come on Genie.... get better soon my sweet we all do not like hearing this news about you... your mum is worried sick about you... so come on let them drugs help you.

Sending even more hugs and get well vibes for Genie...
