Just typed this and lost it all!
Sophia had vet last thurs to treat lymphangitus (Sp?!) Sat i had to go and pick up some drugs for Darcy as she was being affected by mums ab's and was quiet. Monday i was looking after my friends horse an it came in with a gash under its eye and needed too be stapled together. Then today i get to yard to find my gelding in with Soph and foal.
I then find that Soph has gone though the fence to get with him. She is a huge tart. Check her over too find large gash on her hock, and small scrap on leg. Decided i didnt want too chance it with it being on her hock. Vet has been and it looks like it could be deep enough for it too affect the fluid in there. Shes cleaned it up, and bandaged her leg like a tree trunk. Hopefully this will restrict movement too. They are now on box rest till Monday. If Soph is very lame tomorrow she will need to go and have xrays and have it flushed out.
Any spare vibes is much needed! I am going too be very skint when those bills arrive!
So how do i keep Darcy (and mum) entertained whilst on box rest?
Also can i give Soph anything to stop/ reduce this behaviour? She was in season whilst pregnant, will prace round squirting if a gelding so much as looks in her direction!
Thank you, and sorry its so long.
