Just nosey as it was such a nice surface...

Thankies!

My horse was very appreciative after jumping on the grass at Sapey a couple of weeks ago! So nice to jump and warm up on lovely surfaces.

It was nice wasn't it, i found it v quick, not as springy as weston lawns but lovely to jump off.

crap! well not crap but v average dressage 37, v wild SJ, think PN is def too small for him now, so an unmentionable number of faults caused 1st one by me, the rest due to someone thinking he knew better (quick poss didn't help us there!) Wasn't going to run XC but old boss was there and he said to go slow and just school due to the ground being so so horrendous. Did that went clear but got time faults, did literally trot down the first half of course! Don't think i've ever had time faults at PN before!!!

I thought the intro was quite a tough intro - v variable difficulty wise all round, so v good result for you!!!

See i found the sjing wild too! he was very tense in this phase, more tense than the dressage and xc he was very relaxed.

SJing did cause a lot of problems the first day, many poles were rolled and time penalties too!

Well done, another nice run before upgrading again this weekend for you

LOL i was surprised with the time penalties i got, as he felt he went round there easily. Did think the bank was quite tough for an intro with the fence afterwards.

Are you going to aston?

I thought the bank was very tough for an intro, walking it thinking of my 4yo who will be going to some PAVO's in June/July i looked at it thinking god THATS an intro???!!! i've never done one or walked a course of one so nothing to compare it to but still.

I thought the bank was tough and i thought there were silly things like a tiny rail thing which imo could be dangerous then something that was more PN size.

I thought the fences 3 and 4 were hard on a young unbalanced horse, but there were only snoop and another at 5 years old in my section the rest were a good 10-12 yrs old and 3 13 year olds.
The mini ditch - would have rather had a rail on top.

I jumped straight up the bank (the bigger side) and i think he was a little taken back when there were two drops off, he flew the first and had a good look at the second lol hes never done a bank that size before let alone a double of drops lol

Mattingley intro is lovely! you should go there with your 4 year old

awww i can't imagine my baby going XC let alone round an intro!! Not yet!!! If we have to take a lorry to SH i suppose she can go and see, would quite like to get the PAVO qualifier done. She's at Bramham and Rutland County for the 4yo BYEH so if we could get everythign qualified and done by after SM she could go on hols till september! (wishful thinking!!!)
